Opportunity
The Muse wanted to increase sign-ups, with the long term goal of increasing engaged users.
Problem
There were multiple ways in which users could create an account on The Muse, all of which were different and were accessed in different places.
Solution
Since the flows and designs were different, I took a look at all of the variations. I combined the necessary steps into a single flow that worked for sign-in, sign-up, and account creation within Muse Discussions which requires email verification. Additionally, we took this opportunity to add social sign-on with LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google.
Result
After launching the streamlined flow, sign-ups increased 25%.
