Opportunity
Fire+Rescue, which was a magazine dedicated to the New Zealand Fire Service, was costly to produce, but the department wanted a fresh look to honor the firefighters’ hard work.
Solution
When I redesigned the magazine, I developed a flexible template with modular components for quick, cost-effective production. In general, it had a gritty, smokey feel. So, to work with a wide-range of photographs, I also included a photo style that complemented the feel and hid lower quality imperfections.
